Spirals in My Mind Incense Burner | Holder for Incense Sticks, Cones & Tea lights

I have asked my husband to design some incense burners as a way of showing people how mental health effects the mind, body and soul and includes a small piece explaining his thought process :-

This design was created to illustrate my daily struggles with Mental Illness. The upwards, diagonal stripes are designed to illustrate the unstable slope I always feel I am on. When you see it from a distance the lines are meant to appear neat and tidy but when you look at them up close the edges are rough and imperfect as is the stone itself. The imperfections are there to illustrate the multitude of negative emotions experienced throughout the day. When you reach the top, although once again from a distance it appears orderly and structured when you look close it is untidy and imperfect, this is to illustrate the constant chaos and confusion in my mind.

I painted this with a view that it can stand alone as a piece of contemporary modern art or you can use it as an incense holder/burner or tea light holder. If used in this fashion the smoke of the incense will create new patterns on the paint as will the heat from a tea light over time, causing the pattern to evolve and change much the same way as me.

"This process helps my husband remain calm and is quite a small miracle as one of his physical problems is, he suffers from a progressive tremor, making it harder each day to hold anything steady"

Thank you for reading this piece and looking at my husbands work x

This is a hand painted unique incense holder.

Incense burners are a perfect alternative to air fresheners, the natural fragrances are diffused by the carving and keep the home fresh for approx. 24 hours per stick or cone. The added bonus is that these soapstone burners look stunning as an ornament on their own as well. With the huge range there is a soapstone incense burner colour for every home.

Because of its square design and ventilation the incense sticks tend to burn slightly slower than normal.

Incense towers are a great way to burn incense sticks, the carved designs help to diffuse the smoke and spread the aroma around the room unlike the steady stream of smoke that is given off from a normal holder. Our towers have the added bonus of containing the ash and keeping it tidy while it is burning. Natural soapstone carved on all 4 sides. It is approx. 27.5 cm tall. The base has a rubber cork with a hole to allow your incense stick to stand.

All our towers are hand carved from natural soapstone and have a primitive art look and feel about them. No two are exactly the same.

We recommend that only led tea lights should be used due to the heat traditional tea lights cause.
